About The Position
PDX Movers is seeking 5-10 Non-CDL Box Truck Drivers and Movers for full-time and part-time positions. This role is highly active, involves weekly pay, and offers the opportunity to work with a solid crew. The position is ideal for experienced drivers who are comfortable with a physically demanding workday and can ensure safe operation of the truck. There are opportunities for both standard mover-driver roles and leadership positions as Lead Drivers, with pay scales adjusted based on experience and responsibility.
Requirements
- 5+ years of U.S. driving experience
- 2+ years of commercial driving experience
- Clean MVR
- Must meet all D.O.T. standards
- Able to pass a background check (per OAR codes)
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen
- Able to pass a medical exam
- Able to pass a physical abilities test
- Good physical condition and ability to lift and carry items (100+ lbs, stairs, etc.)
- Dependable and able to show up ready to work
- Shifts start at 7:30 AM sharp
Nice To Haves
- Moving experience is not required as full training is provided.
Responsibilities
- Safely navigating and operating 26’ box trucks around the Portland metro area.
- Working as part of a solid crew to wrap, load, and protect customer belongings.
- Assisting with local, residential, and commercial moves from start to finish.
- Managing the crew and paperwork on-site (for Lead Driver roles).
