About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Non-CDL Box Truck Driver to make local deliveries of building materials to customers and jobsites. This is a full-time, hands-on position that involves more than driving. Drivers are responsible for inspecting, loading, delivering, and unloading materials while providing professional service to customers and jobsite personnel. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule and daily home time.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid DOT medical card.
  • Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail.
  • Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Comfortable using a smartphone or mobile applications for routing and reporting.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to regularly lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Ability to move heavier or oversized materials with assistance.
  • Frequent bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, carrying, and climbing.
  • Ability to enter and exit the vehicle repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Ability to load, unload, and handle building materials safely.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and jobsite conditions.
  • Ability to remain physically active throughout the workday.

Nice To Haves

  • Non-CDL box truck driving experience is preferred.
  • Building materials or jobsite delivery experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a non-CDL box truck for local deliveries.
  • Deliver cabinets, windows, doors, trim, and other building materials.
  • Inspect materials for accuracy, quality, and damage before delivery.
  • Load and unload materials using proper handling techniques.
  • Secure materials to prevent movement or damage during transportation.
  • Take delivery confirmation photos using a company-provided device.
  • Complete delivery paperwork, reports, and proof-of-delivery documentation.
  • Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Communicate with dispatch regarding routes, delays, and delivery concerns.
  • Follow all DOT regulations and company safety procedures.
  • Provide friendly, professional service to customers and jobsite personnel.
  • Assist with returns and additional delivery or warehouse duties as needed.
