About The Position
Two Six Technologies is seeking a skilled, proactive Network Engineer to architect, manage, and maintain systems that support secure and efficient environments. The role involves working collaboratively with team members and independently solving problems with minimal direction. The engineer will design, implement, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure and architectures, including multi-datacenter Cisco ACI configurations, and provide technical design and architectural leadership. The position also supports customer communications, audit and compliance documentation, and coaching other engineers. An active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience.
- In-depth understanding of networking, including routing, switching, network monitoring, and management.
- Experience working with Cisco Firepower.
- Experience with next-generation firewalls.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in network connectivity and security, and ability to work effectively across teams to resolve issues.
- Experience designing, configuring, implementing, and troubleshooting network technologies and protocols.
- Experience analyzing network traffic and using network tools to assess security-related events and assist with incident and outage response.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with active Polygraph.
Responsibilities
- Install and maintain network equipment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
- Design network architectures based on customer requirements and industry best practices.
- Develop solutions that meet customer requirements and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Storage, Platform, Application, and other IT disciplines to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
- Develop and maintain configuration plans for Cisco ACI design, planning, implementation, and testing across multi-datacenter configurations.
- Create architectural design solutions and present them to client stakeholders.
- Work with infrastructure engineers to identify new products and solutions.
- Document maintenance for computer systems and network infrastructure.
- Maintain systems and documentation as needed for audits and compliance.
- Keep customers informed about incident progress, impending changes, and coordinated outages.
- Be available to other engineers and coach them toward resolution.
- Define network strategy in relation to technology-domain standards and design goals.
- Provide technical design and architectural leadership, documenting and diagramming logical, physical, and process views.
- Analyze network traffic and use network tools to assess security-related events and help rapidly identify and isolate issues during incidents and outages.
