About The Position

Requirements

• Education and/or experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and three years of related experience.
• Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of computer software and hardware and their network applications.
• Excellent written/verbal communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.

Nice To Haves

• Cisco networking and/or other IT certifications

Responsibilities

• Handles tickets from employees to both troubleshoot network issues and update configurations as needed
• Helps maintain all network related hardware, switches, routers, firewalls, access points and so on.
• Must be able to be in an on-call rotation
• Works well with other teams to ensure the customer gets the help they need in a timely manner
• Operates company's internal data communications systems.
• Assists with the planning, design and implementation of local and wide-area network solutions between multiple platforms and protocols (including IP and VOIP).
• Supports/troubleshoots network issues and coordinates with vendors for installation of items such as copper and fiber cabling, routers, switches, firewalls and wireless communication systems.
• Works on project implementation.
• May provide training and assists with proposal writing.
• May conduct project planning, cost analysis and vendor comparisons.
• Performs other duties and tasks as required.
