Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) is looking for you to join our team as a Manufacturing Technician 2 or Manufacturing Technician 3 based out of Beavercreek, OH. As a Manufacturing Technician you work on the next generation composite structures. This job involves the fabrication of composite hardware using a variety of methods such as hand layup, bonding, assembly, trimming and final finishing. It will require development of skills to competently perform tasks designed to produce product that meet our customer expectations. Tasks may be in team environments or individual based. This position may be filled as a Level 2 or Level 3 based on the qualifications outlined below.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2 years of relatable aircraft experience in manufacturing/production experience (or similar) for Level 2, or 4 years for Level 3.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications.
  • Ability to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds, working overhead or at heights, and accessing small, confined spaces.
  • Must be able to pass a New Hire Physical Exam, and able to obtain and maintain a respirator clearance and compliance with all respirator fitting requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Must successfully complete and pass the “ASTAR New Hire Training / Compliance” within a reasonable time period, as defined by the company to meet its business need.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance and certain other restricted positions.

Nice To Haves

  • Composite experience and/or certification.
  • Aerospace assembly.
  • Demonstrated ability using standard measuring equipment and power hand tools.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, technical specifications and operating procedures.
