About The Position
Cecil Ivory House is seeking a Senior Maintenance Worker to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of its interior and exterior facilities. This role involves performing skilled repairs in carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work, as well as preventative maintenance on HVAC and hot water systems. The Senior Maintenance Worker will also be responsible for ensuring timely maintenance and documentation of elevators, fire alarm systems, and sprinkler systems, and will coordinate with and oversee outside contractors. Additionally, the role includes receiving and storing supplies, moving furniture, and participating as a member of the fire safety team, including fire drills. Related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to communicate in English.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Five years experience in building maintenance.
- Ability to use independent discretion and judgement.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in trades is helpful.
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness of interior and exterior of facility.
- Make repairs requiring skills such as carpentry, painting, plumbing and electrical.
- Responsible for preventative maintenance of cooling/heating and domestic hot water systems.
- Ensure that the periodic maintenance and inspection of elevators, sprinkler systems, fire alarm system and fire extinguishers is performed and documented.
- Arrange for and oversee outside contractors as directed.
- Receive and store deliveries of maintenance/office supplies.
- Move furniture as needed.
- Be a member of the fire safety team.
- Participate in fire drills.
- Related duties as assigned.
