About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Employee must regularly carry, move, push, pull, install, and/or remove tools and equipment weighing up to 95 pounds.
• Employee must be physically able to safely operate a variety of machinery and equipment including shovels, rakes, sledgehammers, pickaxes, excavators, plows, trenchers, company vehicles, and other telecommunications or construction equipment.
• The successful candidate for this position will be able to work at elevated heights, in manhole systems and confined spaces and operate heavy machinery.

Nice To Haves

• CDL-A a plus but not required
• Two years of telecommunications field experience a plus
• Forklift/heavy equipment operator experience; certification preferred
• Flagger certification (or obtained within six months of hire)

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks involving manual labor for telecommunication construction projects
• Assists in providing support to other construction technicians to facilitate efficient workflow
• Hauls and hoists materials as needed
• Responsible for organization of tools
• Responsible for trimming trees and clearing brush at job sites
• Assists in confined space entry
• Assists with traffic control services in work zones
• Ensures that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed
• Communicates effectively with other team members and supervisory personnel
