As a Juvenile Correctional Security Officer - Entry Authorization in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Access Control Security Professional at a government location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor activity, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving position offers the opportunity to support a respectful, orderly environment while helping to deter security-related incidents. Requirements
- Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortably use a computer or tablet is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, staff, residents, and contractors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Monitor access points, verify authorization, screen visitors and deliveries, maintain visitor records, and control entry and exit in accordance with facility procedures.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify conditions requiring attention.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and access-control logs in accordance with government facility requirements.
