About The Position

As a Juvenile Correctional Security Officer - Access Authorization in Union, South Carolina, you will serve and safeguard clients at a government location. Requirements

Meet COLA DPSS/DHS tuberculosis test and MMR vaccination requirements.
Have at least six months of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles or 21 years of age or older for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Submit to a background investigation as a condition of employment.
Submit to a drug screen as a condition of employment, to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience.
Access control and badge experience.
Comfort using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, youth residents, and other authorized individuals by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate.
Monitor and control entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals according to facility procedures.
Respond professionally to incidents, alarms, prohibited-item concerns, and critical situations; notify appropriate facility personnel and emergency responders as required.
Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned entry areas, adjacent grounds, and perimeter locations to identify unauthorized access, unusual activity, and facility policy concerns.
Prepare accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and access-control logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
