About The Position

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer Access Authorization in Savannah, Georgia, to help safeguard a retail distribution location. The officer will manage facility entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and respond to security-related concerns while providing customer service and clear communication. The position pays $16.26 per hour and is scheduled for daytime shifts from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Requirements

At least two years of security-related experience.
At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Applicants are subject to a background investigation in accordance with applicable laws.
Applicants are subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
State or local licensing requirements may apply and may be required before employment.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience.
Comfortable use of a computer or tablet.
Customer service experience.
Access control and badge experience.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to employees, drivers, vendors, and visitors while carrying out site-specific security procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
Monitor and control facility access by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor entry, issuing authorized credentials, and maintaining accurate access records.
Observe inbound and outbound traffic, coordinate with receiving and shipping personnel, and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations.
Respond calmly to incidents and critical situations, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
