About The Position
Adventist Rehabilitation - Rockville Rehabilitation Center seeks to hire an experienced Medical Interpreter for our inpatient rehab who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.
Requirements
- Trained and tested healthcare interpreter with at least one year of experience
- Candidates are required to pass the QBS test at Level II to be eligible for hire
Nice To Haves
- An associate degree in a healthcare related field preferred
- Professional interpreting certification, such as Certified Medical Interpreter preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide language interpretation in various medical settings
- Observe interpreter standards of practice such as maintaining professional boundaries, respecting patients’ rights, and remaining neutral while supporting patient-provider relationship
- Serve as a cultural and linguistic resource for hospital staff and patients
- Track interpretation services rendered
- Assist manager with administrative tasks, as needed
