About The Position

Requirements

• 3-5 years of related experience, preferably in aerospace environment.
• Strong attention to detail, ability to multitask, good communication skills.
• Proficiency in the use of measuring instruments (i.e. various micrometers, verniers, swing snap, and dial gauges, etc).
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and technical documents.
• Good mathematical skills.
• Knowledge of FAA, CAAC and EASA regulations.
• Strong communication and ability to teach/train.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Nice To Haves

• Previous FAA Certified Repairman or Airframe and Power Plant Mechanic highly desirable.
• Experience with CMM operation and programming is a differentiator.

Responsibilities

• Ascertain that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work.
• Verify the proper inspection record, reports and forms used by the Repair Station are properly executed prior to releasing the product for return to service.
• Proactively, and in collaboration with peers, recommend changes in Quality processes and organization, industry standards and specific skill areas.
• Participate in professional forums on specific issues.
• Recommend changes in work flows where appropriate.
• Constantly strive to improve quality at reduced cost.
• Assist all personnel assigned to the inspection department.
• Providing for continuity of inspection responsibility to ensure completion of required inspections when personnel shift or assignment changes occur.
• Be an active participant in development of the inspector training program.
• Responsible for ensuring a safe work environment that meets all required health and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as required.
