About The Position

This role is responsible for monitoring and verifying Critical Control Points (CCPs) to ensure they meet requirements and that any necessary corrective actions are properly performed and recorded. The inspector will also conduct and support internal audits to ensure good manufacturing practices (GMPs) are followed, and verify product labeling and changeovers for accuracy. Key duties include acquiring samples using aseptic technique, labeling and collecting routine pre-harvest and post-harvest product samples, and entering sample orders into the laboratory portal. The inspector will also manage sample handoffs to delivery drivers, ensuring proper chain of custody, and perform data entry for validation studies or special projects. Additionally, this role involves monitoring inventory of PPE and food safety supplies, providing training when needed, and undertaking any other assigned quality-related tasks or special projects. The shift schedule is 8 PM - 8 AM on a rotational basis: Week 1 includes Monday-Tuesday & Friday-Saturday, with Sunday off. Week 2 includes Wednesday-Thursday off.

Requirements

  • Experience with aseptic technique and methodologies
  • Proficiency in data entry
  • Understanding of good manufacturing practices (GMPs)
  • Ability to follow written procedures
  • Attention to detail for product labeling and changeovers
  • Ability to manage inventory
  • Willingness to provide training

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and verify Critical Control Points (CCPs) meet requirements and ensure any corrective actions are properly performed and recorded

  • Verify and monitor product labeling and changeovers to ensure accurate labeling of all products
  • Acquire samples in accordance with aseptic technique and methodologies
  • Correctly label and collect routine pre-harvest and post-harvest product samples as scheduled
  • Perform sampling of the production environment using aseptic technique
  • Enter sample orders into the laboratory portal per written procedures
  • Ensure samples are given to delivery drivers and that proper chain of custody is performed
  • Perform data entry of results from validation studies or other special projects
  • Monitor inventory of PPE and other food safety and quality supplies
  • Provide training when required
  • Performs any other quality related tasks or special projects as assigned
