About The Position

Our assignments include small and medium-sized bridges, culverts, railroad grade separations, viaducts, and major water crossings in both rural and urban environments. TRC has multiple openings for Transportation Construction Inspectors of all levels throughout West Virginia.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, or equivalent.
- Six (6) months of construction experience with bridges, roadways, and highways.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to obtain WVTRET Certification within six (6) months of hire.
Nice To Haves
- WVTRET Certification (Level I - V).
- WVDOH Materials Certifications in Soil - Aggregate Compaction, Portland Cement Concrete and Asphalt Field - Compaction.
- Associate's degree in civil engineering technology, or related.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering technology, or related.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily site inspections for highway and/or bridge construction projects to verify compliance with approved plans, specifications, and codes.
- Measure and record pay quantities.
- Prepare daily reports.
- Review the Contractor's schedule.
- Review and provide input on potential change order issues.
- Maintain project records.
