About The Position

Werk Brau Co Inc is seeking a Quality Weld Inspector for a full-time position in Findlay, OH. The inspector will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting welding specifications, performing visual inspections on welded products, and ensuring conformance to specifications. This role requires attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work on-site. The inspector will also be involved in equipment calibration, documenting non-conformances, and providing training to team members.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.)
  • Effective communication in verbal and written communication
  • Ability to work on-site and within scheduled hours
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to move supplies/equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
  • Detail Oriented
  • Able to read, understand and interpret work orders, blueprints/drawings, quality procedures, tolerance per standards and specifications and familiar with welding symbols.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen (including marijuana). Due to the safety sensitive nature of our workplace, including the operation of heavy machinery, powered equipment, overhead cranes, and powered industrial trucks, all applicants are required to meet a strict zero tolerance standard regarding drugs, including marijuana. Responsibilities

  • Able to review and interpret Welding Procedure Specifications, Procedure Qualification Records, welder qualification variables.
  • Perform visual inspections on welded products in progress and completed jobs.
  • Inspect weld jobs for defects such as cracks, porosity, undercut etc.
  • Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, or work for conformance to specifications.
  • Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers.
  • Have knowledge of the calibration of welding & testing equipment.
  • Reviews all welded products or components and provides input to the decision of whether to accept or reject the product.
  • Document and communicate non-conforming items to designated project supervision, follow up on non-conformances until the close out.
  • Communicates significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and provides information to management.
  • Plans and conducts the analysis, inspection, test, and/or integration to assure the quality of assigned product or component.
  • Provide training and limited oversight to other team members.
  • Documents data obtained during all quality assurance activities, consistent with company policies and procedures.
