The Patient Transporter provides services in a timely, efficient, safe, friendly, and enthusiastic manner, including patient transportation, patient escort dispatch relief, delivery of patient-related equipment, lab specimens and medications, and patient equipment cleaning. The role transports or escorts patients between patient rooms and patient care service areas using appropriate transport equipment and within time frames shown in the automated dispatch system (TeleTracking). It also transports Pathology and Blood Bank specimens, delivers and retrieves patient-related equipment, and provides professional, high-quality customer service. The transporter is responsible for the assigned and other designated areas, identifying and resolving maintenance deficiencies, and demonstrating accountability through personal work ethic, teamwork, and effective communication. Successful candidates must undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.
