About The Position
EY is seeking a Full Stack Developer for its Financial Services Organization (FSO) Technology Service Delivery Center. The role supports client technology projects and managed services, working with advisory professionals and project teams to design, build and configure, test, analyze, deliver and support technology solutions. The position focuses on engineering solutions that help financial services clients transform their businesses, modernize systems and improve customer-facing platforms and services. The developer will collaborate with clients and engagement teams to analyze business requirements and design, develop, integrate, test and deploy distributed software applications. The work uses technologies and approaches including microservices, cloud, omnichannel integration, API management and open-source technologies. The role emphasizes reliable systems, strong customer experience, clear progress communication, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities and technology. EY describes the role as part of a team-led, leader-enabled hybrid model, with most external client-serving roles working together in person 40–60% of the time over an engagement, project or year. Travel may be required up to 50% of the time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or another related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in technology software development.
- Back-end experience with modern technologies such as Java, Python, Node.js, REST, NoSQL, microservices, serverless and cloud technologies such as AWS or Azure.
- Front-end development experience with modern frameworks and practices such as React, Angular or responsive web design.
- Experience designing, building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Hands-on experience building applications or platforms with cloud-native or microservices architecture, including IaaS, PaaS and container deployment.
- Experience with collaborative development tools such as Git and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with testing frameworks and tools for unit and integration testing, and knowledge of TDD or BDD techniques.
- Experience delivering digital projects and products using an appropriate agile project management methodology.
- Familiarity with automated testing and integration of complex systems.
- Hands-on technical capabilities in multiple programming languages.
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Nice To Haves
- Prior full-stack software product development experience, preferably with an understanding of DevOps and its supporting services and tools.
- Experience with Akka or Scala.
- Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with Elasticsearch.
- Experience with Hadoop, Spark or Flume.
- Experience with MongoDB, Cassandra or another NoSQL database.
