About The Position

The Field Service Technician is responsible for performing a variety of technical tasks related to hardware and software, including incident handling, preventive maintenance, installations, and customer training. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a commitment to customer satisfaction, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The technician will also be involved in continuous improvement processes, administrative tasks, and ensuring security and safety protocols are followed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate quality technical, electronic repair, and maintenance skills.
  • Maintain a working knowledge in technology and associated technical skills for systems, applications, tools, and resources.
  • Proficient with the general Windows operating system and platforms.
  • Familiarity with and adherence to the field's procedures, practices, and concepts.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive, customer-focused attitude.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external personnel, both verbally and in writing.
  • Interpret and understand technical documentation.
  • PC literacy and good knowledge and application of relevant tools and methods.

Nice To Haves

  • ATM technical experience preferred.
  • Product knowledge of ATM industry highly desirable.
  • Experience in servicing NRT QuickJack products or other ticket redemption products in a casino environment is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Perform troubleshooting via detailed analysis of HW and SW failures using diagnostic tools, including component-level HW repair, cleaning and adjustment of mechanical components, and configuration/installation of SW.
  • Perform routine checks according to documented preventative maintenance procedures and refill consumables.
  • Perform Installation, Movement, Addition, Change, and Removal (IMAC/R) of hardware and software products and components.
  • Instruct and train customers on the usage and operation of installed Hardware and Software, maintaining quality measurements and customer satisfaction, and providing timely follow-up to customer concerns.
  • Receive incident and order briefings from dispatch, update dispatch on unforeseen issues, provide detailed debriefing on performed activities, and proactively inform customers about actions taken.
  • Observe technical or process problems, proactively inform about potential issues, and offer improvement suggestions.
  • Actively use corporate tools and processes for knowledge sharing, such as knowledge bases, for finding solutions and providing input.
  • Participate in regular hardware and software trainings and receive certification.
  • Install field change orders (FCOs) and other equipment modifications.
  • Ensure timely and accurate dispatch information updates and complete all administrative reports, including service reports, expense reports, and time/attendance records.
  • Drive safely at all times and obey traffic laws.
  • Maintain the integrity and security of company vehicle, tools, test equipment, proprietary software, and documentation.
