About The Position
ASML is seeking an Electrical Engineer Intern to work with teams developing parts of its lithography systems and related tooling. The intern will collaborate with a multidisciplinary project team on electrical infrastructure, engineering analysis, and electronic designs. The role is based onsite in Wilton, Connecticut, and requires in-person attendance at work events, trainings, and meetings. The internship lasts 12 weeks and must begin on either June 2, 2027, or June 14, 2027. ASML develops and provides lithography systems used by semiconductor manufacturers to produce integrated circuits. The company describes a collaborative and dynamic work environment in which interns work with colleagues, take on new technical challenges, and have flexibility in how they approach tasks. The current base hourly pay range is $18.00 to $48.00. Pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, education, experience, certifications, candidate abilities, and pay relative to other team members. The role may require access to controlled technology, so candidates must be legally authorized to access it before starting work. Business needs may require selecting candidates already eligible for such access.
Requirements
- Be studying for a BS in Engineering with a major in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Have completed two years of college.
- Be available for a 12-week session beginning June 2, 2027, or June 14, 2027.
- Work onsite in Wilton, Connecticut.
- Demonstrate strong communication, organization, and self-direction.
- Be able to learn and apply new information or skills and read and interpret data, information, and documents.
- Demonstrate customer focus, attention to detail, accuracy, ownership, accountability, and professionalism.
- Be able to perform effectively in a demanding environment with changing workloads and deadlines.
- Be able to work independently or as part of a team with minimal supervision and maintain cooperative working relationships.
- Work according to strict procedures and timelines.
- Be legally authorized to access controlled technology before beginning work if the role requires such access.
- Routinely sit, walk, talk, hear, use hands for keyboarding and handling objects, and stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch; occasionally move around campus and lift or move up to 20 pounds.
- Have the vision abilities needed for close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and adjusting focus.
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of or exposure to analog, digital, and programmable logic circuit design.
- Understanding of or exposure to schematic capture.
- Understanding of or exposure to AC and DC power distribution systems.
- Understanding of or exposure to printed circuit board signal and power integrity.
- Understanding of or exposure to testing and troubleshooting electronic systems to the component level.
- Experience writing technical documents, test procedures, and test reports.
- Familiarity with electronic design automation tools such as Mentor Graphics xDX/xPCB Designer, PSpice, OrCAD, PADs, or similar.
- Familiarity with MATLAB, LabVIEW, or Python.
- Ability to travel as needed based on business requirements.
