About The Position

Soiland Materials Yard & Garden and Green Recycling Center (formerly Grab N’ Grow) is hiring a full-time Class B Dump Truck Driver. As a Class B Dump Truck Driver (with air brake endorsement), you’ll safely and efficiently transport materials between company sites and complete local deliveries using an interplant dump truck and bobtail dump truck. This role supports production and customer service operations and requires strict adherence to DOT regulations, site safety requirements, and company policies.

Requirements

  • Authorization to work in the U.S.
  • Valid Commercial Class B Driver’s License with Air Brake endorsement
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating a Class B dump truck (e.g., 10-wheeler)
  • Clean driving record (MVR) with no disqualifying offenses under DOT/FMCSA regulations
  • Valid, current DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate
  • FMCSA Clearinghouse registration with a clean history
  • Enrollment in the DOT random drug testing program
  • Minimum age 18 with at least 3 years of overall driving experience
  • Ability to safely operate commercial vehicles for extended periods in varying weather, terrain, and site conditions
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English (verbal and written), including reading and understanding traffic and road signs
  • Strong attention to safety, reliability, and professionalism
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role
  • Ability to pass pre-employment screening, including physical exam and drug testing

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Class B Dump Truck to complete interplant transfers and local deliveries
  • Perform required vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks pre-trip, during operation, and post-trip in accordance with with DOT regulations and company guidelines
  • Load, secure, transport, and unload materials safely and efficiently
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate professionally with customers and site personnel
  • Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, site rules, and PPE requirements
  • Operate other equipment as assigned, as trained
  • Participate in required trainings and meetings
  • Maintain regular, reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as assigned
