About The Position

Fisherman’s Market International Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Local 5 ton Delivery Driver to support their delivery team. The role involves driving a 5-ton automatic truck (8-10 pallet trucks) and requires a clean Class 5 license. The driver will be responsible for deliveries to airports and other designated drop-off locations, as well as assisting the inside team when time permits. This is a full-time position with approximately 38-45 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Clean Class 5 license required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
  • Strong understanding of the Halifax regional Municipality geography.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physically fit.

Responsibilities

  • Perform morning truck checks.
  • Maintain a clean vehicle.
  • Deliver products to Airports and other pick up drop offs as required.
  • Support the inside team with working inside the lobster room helping to prepare shipments for Airport delivery.
  • Prepare boxes and materials for shipping orders.
  • Pack lobster required for shipping.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks efficiently and safely.
  • Operate pallet jacks or forklifts (if certified or trained).
  • Follow all safety and handling procedures.
  • Other duties to help support the inside team.
