About The Position

Empire Distributors Inc, a leading beverage distributor, is hiring a Delivery Driver in Pineville, NC. This role offers a starting salary of $50,500K with bonus potential. Drivers are home nightly and do not work weekends. No CDL is required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must maintain an active applicable State Driver's License.
  • Must meet requirements to receive and maintain a Department of Transportation (DOT) Medical Card.
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a valid state Alcohol Beverage Commission (ABC) Permit.

Responsibilities

  • Safely drive a truck to deliver wine, beer, and non-alcoholic products to customers.
  • Collect payment from customers and record transactions on customer invoices/receipts.
  • Review customer orders and ensure proper delivery of products.
  • Record sales and deliveries information on a delivery record.
  • Obtain customer signatures on invoices/receipts for pickup or delivery.
  • Listen to and resolve service complaints.
  • Place stock in appropriate locations.
  • Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or issue sales promotion materials to customers.
  • Collect or pick up empty containers, kegs, or rejected/unsold merchandise, and return them to the warehouse.
  • Inspect loads and ensure proper packing and security to reduce product breakage and vehicle damage.
  • Load truck when necessary.
  • Ability and willingness to load/unload and/or deliver all products ordered by customers.
  • Proficiently use telematics devices for delivery routes and driver logs.
  • Use electronic devices to accurately record start and stop times on the time clock device, ensuring compliance with DOT Regulations.
  • Complete training assignments in a timely manner, including Worklete and Pro-Tread.
  • Clean the inside of the cab and box of the assigned truck.
  • Perform daily routine vehicle inspection reports, noting damages or defects.
  • Arrange repairs or maintenance as needed, working with management.
  • Use all company equipment as required.
  • Perform job duties while being monitored via DriveCam.
