Community Partners in Action (CPA) is one of the oldest organizations of its kind in the country, founded nearly 150 years ago to champion criminal justice reform and advocate for preserving the dignity of those in and out of prison. Through various programs including reentry and housing, youth initiatives, a nationally recognized Prison Arts Program, and holistic alternatives to incarceration, CPA provides a long-term impact that positively transforms individuals and society at large, serving over 4,000 individuals annually throughout Connecticut. The organization is guided by its BEDI (Belonging, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion) culture, committed to building an inclusive, equitable workplace and having a constructive impact on criminal justice reform in CT to end racial inequities and ensure humanity and dignity. The Senior Accountant, reporting to the CFO, will perform various accounting duties in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and CPA’s accounting, audit, and reporting requirements and policies. This includes maintaining and analyzing general ledger records and budget variances, preparing program reports, ensuring fiscal compliance with assigned contracts, processing accounts receivable and deposits, balance sheet account reconciliations, and preparing monthly and/or quarterly grant reports for both government and private funders.
