About The Position

As a Rehab Director with Legacy Healthcare Services, you serve as the primary Legacy representative at the facility, promoting Legacy policies, clinical programs and supporting our mission to help aging adults live safe, healthy lives full of strength, movement, and joy. You will create rapport and positive working relationships with key facility personnel and fellow Legacy employees that allows for discovery of others’ needs. You will oversee internal marketing efforts to assist with relationship building with staff and residents while keeping community leaders apprised of Legacy’s programs and other offerings. You will manage site productivity and makes necessary changes to achieve budget. You will maintain a caseload that assists the rehab department in meeting standards. You will be able to assess patient needs and develop clinical programs appropriate for the facility census. You will be able to direct and train others in clinical service delivery across disciplines. You will be responsible for the daily coordination of rehab department with facility staff to plan and implement therapy programming. You will participate in clinical outcomes reporting and shares with the customer. You will manage staff schedules to meet the caseload requirements and utilizes the scheduling tools for patient schedules. You will manage CliniFax and all requirements of physician signatures on the therapy plan of cares. You will create and maintain team relationships and open communication with and between rehab staff, facility staff, and Legacy corporate personnel. You will assist with orientation/training for staff with guidance and assistance from ARD/ MSM to meet company, state and federal standards.

Requirements

  • Clinical background as a Physical Therapist (PT), Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA), Occupational Therapist (OT), Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA), or Speech Language Pathologies (SLP).
  • Three to five years’ experience in long-term care (LTC) or senior living.
  • Minimum of a degree from accredited college or university or equivalent experience (i.e., degree in PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP).
  • Licensed and registered (PT, PTA, OT, COTA, SLP) in state where assigned.

Nice To Haves

  • Some prior supervisory experience preferred but not required.
