About The Position

Requirements

• At least five (5)+ years of experience as a superintendent for a general contractor on high-rise concrete projects
• Exceptional technical knowledge and can translate that to mentorship, efficiency and running a clean and safe construction site
• Excellent record of leading a project from pre-construction to completion
• Ability to build relationships with not only the field staff, but also clients and other external stakeholders
• Ability and proven experience to lead and motivate site crew of various sizes and scopes
• Proven success in influencing a culture of positivity, ownership and reliability on site.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with Project Manager and regularly communicate updates such as field reports, safety inspections, staffing requirements and schedule updates
• Oversee subcontractor performance with regards to safety and scope of work
• Ensure sufficient staffing is provided to achieve safety, schedule and quality objectives
• Identify and advise of design deficiencies, schedule interruptions or difficulties, and other project issues
• Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions and change notices to ensure scopes, terms and conditions are properly executed
• Supervise and direct trades and labourers through regular instruction, communication feedback
• Support CSO and head office in ensuring all employees, subcontractors and contractors are adhering to the safety policies.
