About The Position

Requirements

• Proven experience managing heavy civil construction or underground utility projects
• Strong knowledge of trenching, excavation, pipe installation, and sitework operations
• Ability to manage multiple projects, crews, and priorities simultaneously
• Proficient in reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and construction schedules
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Working knowledge of OSHA standards and a strong commitment to job site safety

Nice To Haves

• Experience in utility installation, including various types and sizes of drainage and pipe systems
• Ability to effectively bridge field operations with office coordination
• Team-oriented leader who drives accountability, communication, and consistent project performance

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple heavy civil and underground utility projects from pre-construction through closeout
• Develop, track, and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
• Coordinate with superintendents, foremen, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient execution of work
• Review plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance and proper project execution
• Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to safety standards
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
• Communicate proactively with clients, engineers, and internal stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and schedule impacts
• Manage project documentation, including RFIs, submittments, change orders, and daily/weekly reporting
• Identify and resolve project issues, delays, and conflicts to keep projects on track
