About The Position
VanDerBosch Plumbing Inc. is seeking a Licensed Service Plumber for residential and light commercial work. Requirements
- Must hold a current State of Illinois Plumbing License and/or City of Chicago Journeyman Plumber License.
- Proven experience in residential or light commercial service plumbing (familiarity with older Chicago infrastructure is a massive plus!).
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional customer service skills—someone who leaves the workspace spotless and handles clients with respect.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Must be willing to undergo a background check and drug screening.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with older Chicago infrastructure
Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair residential and light commercial plumbing systems.
- Service and install traditional/tankless water heaters, fixtures, valves, and water filtration lines.
- Maintain, rebuild, and scale vintage or modern hot water steam boilers.
- Resolve sewer and drain blockages utilizing advanced equipment (cable machines, hydro jetting, and sewer video camera inspections).
- Provide clear, transparent, and friendly communication to homeowners and building managers before starting any work.
