Commercial Plumber
About The Position
RQ is seeking skilled Commercial/Industrial Plumbers to join our Mechanical team supporting ongoing work in Norfolk, Virginia. All work will be performed on a military installation and is compensated in accordance with Davis-Bacon prevailing wage requirements specific to the base. Plumbers are responsible for the fabrication and installation of plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment on active construction sites. This role requires applying technical mechanical knowledge to ensure all work complies with applicable codes and standards. Work must be performed using proper tools, equipment, and safety practices, in alignment with RQ's Mission, Vision, and Values.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 4 or more years (or equivalent) field or trade work experience as a journey-level plumbing in a commercial or facilities operations setting.
- Evidence of identity and U.S. work authorization.
- Successfully pass a drug screening.
- Successfully pass a commercial criminal background check, including a stricter Department of Defense background check, for access to job site at military base.
Nice To Haves
- Government, military, or large commercial construction experience preferred.
