About The Position

Giving Home Health Care has been supporting individuals impacted by health conditions related to their work in nuclear facilities for the Department of Energy since 2012. With a focus on personalized, in-home care, we are committed to assisting those who have dedicated their careers to these vital roles. As a fast-growing, leading provider, we proudly serve patients across Arizona, Colorado, Kentucky, Missouri, Nevada, New Mexico, Tennessee, Texas, and Utah. We are looking for a compassionate Home Health Aide (HHA) or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in San Tan Valley, AZ. We are currently hiring for full-time hours for a case in San Tan Valley. We are offering 35 hours a week, with the expectation to increase! This is an overnight CNA role. This role is a 1099 contract opportunity, with care being provided at the patient’s residence. This is a great opportunity to earn a supplemental income! Successful hires earn a bonus of $1000 after 90 days of employment! Offers are contingent upon passing a background check.

Requirements

  • Current CPR certification
  • CNA Certification
  • Current First Aid certification
  • TB test & physical examination
  • Ability to monitor vital signs
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Caring and compassionate personality
  • Hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and move patients
  • Ability to operate under stressful conditions and make quick decisions

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • 1+year of caregiving experience

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care within the patient's home, under the direction of the RN, and according to the Aide Plan of Care.
  • Appropriately reports changes in the patient's condition to the RN/the care team and documents pertinent information.
  • Practices in accordance with accepted infection control principles.
  • Provides a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.
  • Provides necessary assistance to patients with light housekeeping, meal preparation, proper nutrition, and adequate fluid intake.
  • Promotes positive, supportive, and respectful communication with patients/clients, caregiver(s), families, and other employees.
  • Provides assistance to patients with safe transfers and ambulation per the Agency policies.
  • Completes yearly education hours.
