About The Position
Coastal Welding Supply, a subsidiary of AWG, is seeking a Class B CDL Delivery Driver in Baytown, TX. This role is responsible for the safe and efficient loading, unloading, transport, and delivery of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard goods to customers and branches. The driver will also be responsible for accurate completion of all necessary paperwork and adherence to all safety and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Class B CDL Required with Hazmat and Tanker endorsement or the ability to obtain both endorsements.
- Clean driving record.
- Able to read and write English.
- Able to move compressed gas and liquid cylinders; Lift 50-75 pounds frequently and maneuver 100+ pound cylinders (rolling, using a cart, etc.).
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen, DOT physical, Back Ground Assessment and company administered road test.
- Ability to communicate with customers.
Responsibilities
- Loading, unloading, moving, and storage of gas and liquid cylinders and other hard good supplies.
- Making deliveries to customers or other branches.
- Filling out delivery tickets completely and accurately.
- Reading, understanding, and following all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's).
- Complying with all DOT and OSHA Regulations.
- Safely and efficiently moving, loading, and unloading empty/full cylinders.
- Ensuring appropriate preparation and/or completion and accuracy of paperwork, including shipping papers and delivery tickets.
- Maintaining cleanliness of the vehicle.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
