About The Position
The Traveling Framing Carpenter reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine framing layouts. The role involves measuring, cutting, shaping, assembling, and installing framing structures, as well as installing fixtures and inspecting or repairing damaged framing. Work must comply with building codes and safety regulations, and the carpenter collaborates with other construction professionals to help complete projects on time and within budget.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Framing Carpenter.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift and carry heavy materials.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of framing structures.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood using hand and power tools.
- Assemble and install framing structures, including walls, floors, and roofs.
- Install windows, doors, and other fixtures.
- Inspect and repair damaged framing structures.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with construction professionals, such as architects and engineers, to complete projects on time and within budget.
