About The Position
Silver Creek Valley Country Club is seeking energetic Junior Summer Sport Camp Counselors who enjoy sports, have a positive attitude, and work well with children. The club offers world-class instruction and programs in a picturesque setting, serving as the summer home of tennis legend Cliff Drysdale. They cater to a wide range of tennis players, from individuals to families and team groups, with comprehensive adult and junior options. The role involves supervising campers and assisting in recreational activities, with midweek scheduling offering both half-day and full-day options. The hourly rate is dependent on experience.
Requirements
- Knowledge of sports, arts, or crafts
- Ability to direct and coordinate children during summer camp trip
- Ability to read and speak English may be required in order to perform the duties of the job

Responsibilities
- Assisting recreational activities for children
- Lead small or large groups on crafts, games and various other camp exercises
- Monitor campers to identify and respond to unruly behavior or deviations from camp guidelines
- Follow policies for the safety of campers, equipment, and personal property
- Act as a role model for campers in activities which require cleanliness, punctuality, and sportsmanship
- Mediate disputes or conflicts between campers to ensure a peaceful environment
- Participate in singing, storytelling, and sporting activities
