About The Position
Metz Culinary Management is hiring Baristas to prepare handcrafted hot and cold coffee and tea beverages in a busy college setting. The role calls for energetic team players with a winning attitude who deliver exceptional customer service. Baristas prepare and serve beverages and food items, maintain their station and equipment, handle payments, and work collaboratively with the team. All employees are required to complete background checks and drug screening as part of onboarding. Daily Pay is mentioned as an optional employee benefit.
Requirements
- Previous Barista experience.
- Knowledge of how brewing equipment operates.
- SERV Safe Certification.
- Ability to bend, twist, squat, reach, crawl, push/pull, and stand without limitation and for long periods of time.
- Ability to carry 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
- Reading, writing, oral proficiency, and basic math skills.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, stock, and maintain the station continuously throughout the day.
- Greet guests and determine their coffee interests and needs.
- Present and explain the coffee drink menu, educate guests, and answer questions.
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks according to prescribed recipes and preparation techniques, as well as pastries, sandwiches, and other food items.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following organization standards and sanitation regulations.
- Use the cash register and accurately handle cash and process payments.
- Work as a team with others, train new team members, and cross-train in other departments.
- Complete weekly inventory and order lists.
- Clean and maintain all equipment continuously.
- Perform other tasks as requested by the Operations Manager.
