About The Position

Point C is seeking a Software Engineer to join their AI/Automation team. The role involves the design, development, and maintenance of Azure-hosted web portals, platforms, and intelligent automation solutions. The engineer will work on various products including internal portals, an external client-facing portal, CRM systems, and the Argus EDI processing platform. This is a hands-on role requiring coding, feature building, AI integration, and deployment, with an emphasis on end-to-end feature ownership and architectural thinking within the Azure environment. The position also requires leveraging AI-assisted development tools and incorporating AI/automation into daily workflows and product development.

Requirements

  • 3–7+ years of professional software development experience
  • .NET ecosystem proficiency – C#, ASP.NET Core / MVC, Web API, Entity Framework or similar ORM
  • AI-assisted development – Comfort using AI tools (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Azure AI, or similar) as part of your development workflow. Willingness to integrate AI/automation into the products you build β€” not just use it as a coding assistant.
  • SQL Server – Comfortable writing queries, stored procedures, and working with relational data models
  • Azure platform experience – Deploying and managing applications in Azure. Familiarity with App Services, Azure SQL, Azure Functions, or equivalent cloud services.
  • Web development fundamentals – HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript. Experience building functional, usable web interfaces.
  • Architectural thinking – Ability to reason about application structure, service boundaries, data flow, and scalability. You don't need to be a solutions architect, but you should be able to make sound design decisions and articulate trade-offs.
  • Version control – Git-based workflows (GitHub, Azure DevOps, or similar)
  • Self-directed remote work – Ability to manage your own priorities, communicate proactively, and deliver without in-person oversight

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare / TPA industry experience – Understanding of benefits administration, claims processing, or payer/provider workflows
  • EDI / X12 familiarity – Exposure to healthcare transaction standards (834, 835, 837, 999, etc.).
  • Azure architecture experience – Resource provisioning, networking, identity/security (Entra ID), CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Bicep, ARM templates, Terraform)
  • Azure AI Services – Experience with Azure OpenAI, Cognitive Services, AI Search, Document Intelligence, or similar
  • CRM platform experience – Building or customizing CRM systems
  • Frontend framework experience – React, Angular, Blazor, or similar

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain Azure-hosted portals including a member portal (internal), client portal (external-facing), and the Argus portal (internal). Full-stack work spanning UI, API, and data layers.
  • Contribute to the flagship EDI processing platform, Argus, which handles healthcare EDI operations (eligibility, claims, remittance, acknowledgments).
  • Develop and extend CRM functionality supporting TPA operations and client management.
  • Work with Azure services (App Services, Azure SQL, Functions, Storage, Azure AI Services, etc.) to build scalable, reliable, intelligent applications.
  • Participate in architectural decisions for new features and platform improvements.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into products and workflows.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, Azure AI) as part of the daily process.
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across platforms.
  • Work with stakeholders across multiple TPA entities within the Point C organization to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage
  • 401(k) retirement plan with employer match
  • Health Savings Account (HSA) & Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs)
  • Paid time off (PTO) and disability leave
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
