About The Position

Velosio is seeking an Azure AI Platform Engineer to build, operate, secure, and govern its growing Microsoft Azure and AI platform. This hands-on technical owner will support Azure infrastructure for AI applications, Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, and related cloud services. The engineer will work with AI solution teams and business stakeholders to provide secure, scalable, observable, and cost-effective environments for deploying AI solutions. The role initially focuses heavily on Azure AI workloads while also helping strengthen Velosio’s broader Azure operating model.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• At least two years of hands-on experience with Azure administration and engineering solutions.
• Experience deploying Azure AI services.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture, networking, and automation principles.
• Proficiency in CI/CD and source-control practices using Azure DevOps or GitHub.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Azure identity and access management.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Experience with Azure Key Vaults and secure credential retrieval.
• Experience with Entra ID enterprise applications and application registrations.
• Experience creating AI agents.
• Two years of related experience with Azure DevOps.
• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Azure DevOps Pipelines for CI/CD.
• Experience monitoring and optimizing pipeline performance for reliability and scalability.
• Experience maintaining source control and branching strategies using Git and Azure Repos.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, including YAML pipelines and release management.

Responsibilities

• Build, configure, maintain, and support Azure environments used by AI applications and services.
• Administer Microsoft Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Services, and related Azure AI capabilities.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Bicep, Terraform, or equivalent Infrastructure as Code tooling.
• Manage AI model deployments, endpoints, quotas, capacity, configuration, and lifecycle.
• Establish repeatable patterns for deploying AI workloads across Development, Test/UAT, and Production environments.
• Help application and AI teams select appropriate platform services and deployment architectures.
• Maintain visibility into AI resources, applications, environments, dependencies, and technical owners.
• Support Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), search, document-processing, and agent-based architectures from a platform perspective.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards across all solutions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
