About The Position

The AI Engineer is a hands-on individual contributor who works directly with Client teams to design, build, and ship production AI solutions using Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, and Azure AI Foundry (Microsoft Foundry). The engineer writes code, configures agents, connects data, and delivers solutions to users, working within a Collectiv delivery team alongside a project lead, architects, and data engineers. The role partners with Client business and IT stakeholders to translate business problems into working AI solutions and prepare them for production. The work spans Copilot extensions and agents, custom Azure AI Foundry applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines, enterprise data and system integrations, evaluation and production readiness, and client-facing consulting. The engineer also trains users and administrators, supports adoption after launch, and contributes reusable patterns, accelerators, and documentation to Collectiv's AI practice. This specific engagement requires US citizenship under the client's contract terms and physical presence in the United States for the engagement's duration. These are project-specific conditions, not Collectiv-wide hiring policies. Candidates who do not meet them may still apply for consideration for other AI Engineer roles. Collectiv describes the position as fully remote, with quarterly in-person team experiences. The company offers competitive compensation, professional development, unlimited time off, health coverage, retirement matching, educational assistance, a technology stipend, and discounts. Collectiv is a boutique consulting and strategy firm specializing in Analytics, Planning, and AI with Power BI and the Microsoft data stack.
