About The Position

As an Embedded Engineering Co-Op you will work alongside full time employees and industry professionals improving existing products in an agile environment over 7 months from May or June 2027 - December 2027 or Jan 2027 - August 2027. This position requires you to take an academic term off of school to work full time in this role for 7 months. If you enjoy technical challenges where software and hardware come together, our embedded teams are the place for you. You will be exposed to a variety of software engineering knowledge areas including: OOD/OOA, full development life cycle, agile methodology, system design, test driven development, test automation, and build and configuration management.

Requirements

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
  • The ability to work full time over the Fall 2027 semester, from May 2027 to December 2027 or Spring 2027 semester, from Jan 2027 to August 2027.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US is required.
  • Will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.

Nice To Haves

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar
  • Experience with C++ and Python
  • Previous exposure and knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of Industrial automation environments including PLC or drives programming.
  • An interest or prior experience with robotics teams or projects.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside industry professionals developing new and existing products in an agile environment.
  • Each co-op has a dedicated mentor to help navigate Rockwell, ramp up in our code base, and remove daily blockers.
  • Be exposed to a variety of software engineering knowledge areas including: OOD/OOA, full development life cycle, agile methodology, system design, test driven development, test automation, and build and configuration management.
