About The Position
The Freelance Firm is a national network of experienced, high-level, freelance attorneys and paralegals providing remote, on-demand support for legal projects for client law firms. Due to increased demand, they are interviewing for a qualified, experienced, and dedicated Ohio-based Intellectual Property Attorney. This is a remote position with variable hours, expected to be approximately 10+ hours per week.
Requirements
- Licensed in good standing to practice law in the State of Ohio
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Intellectual Property Law
- Proven self-starter
- Comfortable managing legal projects from start to finish
- Proficient in technologies that enable successful remote work, such as project management software, electronic document creation, and video conferencing
- STELLAR at communicating with clients with confidence about their businesses and cases
- EXCELLENT at handling project management and team communication in a virtual Firm environment
- At least 5 years of experience in trademark and copyright clearance, registration, transfer, and licensing
- At least 5 years of experience in reviewing, drafting and advising clients about crucial contracts like Professional Services Agreements and Independent Contractor Agreements
- Knowledge of laws and regulations governing advertising, social media marketing, and influencer marketing
