About The Position

International Motors Huntsville Powertrain Plant is seeking Assemblers to join their growing team. This role is for a frontline team member who represents the brand, keeps operations running, and helps deliver quality and value to customers. The position involves fabricating and assembling engines, transmissions, and aftertreatment components for diesel commercial trucks, with an emphasis on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail. The facility is a cutting-edge automated facility with climate control.

Requirements

  • No minimum qualifications
  • Qualified candidates, excluding current employees, must be legally authorized on an unrestricted basis (US Citizen, Legal Permanent Resident, Refugee or Asylee) to be employed in the United States. We do not anticipate providing employment related work sponsorship for this position (e.g., H-1B status)
  • Ability to do the following up to 10 hours per shift: Walk, stand, sit, bend, twist/turn, kneel, squat, crawl
  • Climb using both legs and arms
  • Head/neck movement
  • Reach outward or above the shoulder
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull 15-45 pounds
  • Repetitive use of hands and fingers
  • Use of vibrating tools
  • Exposure to constant and intermittent noise, fumes, smoke and gases, solvents, paint, grease and oils, radiant energy, and slippery surfaces
  • Must be willing to work any shift

Responsibilities

  • Assemble Engine and Powertrain Components: Obtain incoming components and assemble products according to process instructions, performing all necessary gauge verifications.
  • Quality and Productivity: Perform duties to maintain quality and productivity standards.
  • Support Team Objectives: Replace or assist others as needed to meet uptime objectives.
  • Team Participation: Actively participate in the work group and business team.
  • Continuous Improvement: Strive for continual improvement and focus on process optimization.
  • Guidance and Training: Instruct, assist, and direct others as required.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with process instructions, PFMEA, and Control Plans; notify group leader of any deviations.
  • Accountability: Accept accountability for achieving goals and planning strategies.
