About The Position

CPV Manufacturing, an industrial valve manufacturer located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, is seeking a Valve Assembler to produce valves and valve components. The role involves assembling and testing products according to work orders, engineering drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials, while maintaining quality, safety, and accurate documentation. The company has just over 60 people. The position is on the first shift, 6:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Mechanical aptitude.
Attention to detail.
Ability to read basic blueprints.
Proficiency in using mechanical tools and measuring devices.

Responsibilities

Review work order travelers, assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists to assemble valves and other components.
Clean valve and fitting assembly components according to specified requirements.
Visually inspect components for defects before assembly.
Assemble products following engineering drawings, work instructions, and bills of materials.
Conduct pressure tests on assembled valves to verify they meet requirements.
Record assembly and testing data using ISO 9001 documentation practices.
Maintain tools and equipment, including performing preventative maintenance.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Check assembly-area supply stock, anticipate supply needs, and notify the supervisor when levels are low.
Work in the cleanroom when required, following its procedures for product assembly.
Cross-train in other departments as needed.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
