About The Position

This position rotates between assembly areas based on production needs. The assembler accurately assembles quality products according to engineering print directions and shop order requests, follows established policies and procedures and any modifications, and helps preserve product integrity and quality. The role includes mentoring and training other employees, working with customers to solve problems, and troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical problems on Demco products. Position descriptions define the significant duties in general terms and are not all-inclusive; temporary assignments or changes to existing positions may occur.

• Able to use a hoist or crane and follow correct operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products according to print directions and shop order requests.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain safe work habits.
• Find, print, and understand shop orders, customer orders, and engineering drawings.
• Follow procedures and maintain accurate records and product counts.
• Mentor and train other employees.
• Read and use measuring tools accurately.
• Use hoists or cranes according to correct operating procedures.
• Complete jobs in a timely and consistent manner.
• Work as part of a team and independently as needed.
• Look for new and improved ways to perform work.
• Meet reasonable production goals.
• Work with customers to solve problems.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical problems on Demco products.
• Rotate between assembly areas based on production needs.
