About The Position

This position rotates between assembly areas based on production needs. The Assembler accurately assembles quality products according to engineers’ print directions and shop order requests. The role follows established policies and procedures, including modifications, while preserving product integrity and quality. Position descriptions define the role’s significant duties in general terms and are not all-inclusive; temporary assignments or changes to existing positions may occur.

• Willing and able to learn and perform other jobs.
• Able to lift 50 pounds occasionally and push or pull 100 pounds occasionally.
• Pre-employment drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble products according to print directions.
• Maintain safe work habits and follow safety procedures.
• Find, print, and understand shop orders, customer orders, and engineering drawings.
• Follow procedures and maintain accurate records and product counts.
• Mentor and train other employees.
• Read and use measuring tools accurately.
• Use hoists or cranes according to proper operating procedures.
• Complete jobs on a timely and consistent basis and meet reasonable production goals.
• Work as part of a team and independently; remain self-motivated.
• Look for new and improved ways to perform work.
• Work with customers to solve problems.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic and electrical problems on Demco products.
