About The Position

This is a traveling role with projects in various locations throughout the US. You can live anywhere in the United States, preference to Midwest and Southeast.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least four years in the electrical trade.
  • Current state Electrical Journeyman license.
  • Valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Advanced to expert knowledge of electrical theory, NEC and local codes
  • Ability to travel by car and plane, with overnight travel for extended periods of time.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations.
  • Advanced knowledge of hand tools, testing equipment, and other commonly used trade equipment.
  • Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, and diagnostics ability.
  • Embrace quality control processes.
  • Good attention to detail.
  • Follow process and procedure.
  • Current OSHA 10 certification.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Elevated Work Platform certification preferred.
  • Current Lock Out/Tag Out Training certification preferred.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification preferred.
  • Current NFPA 70E Arc Flash Training certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical installation and service tasks to required specifications, including bending conduit, pulling wire, installing fixtures, devices, plates, switchgear, and branch circuits.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and layout drawings.
  • Mentor, direct, and supervise apprentices.
  • Install and connect control systems, power distribution systems, electrical switchgear, including components such as switchboards, panels, load centers, motor control centers, breakers, transformers, and disconnect switches.
  • Use multi-meters for measuring voltage, amperage, resistance, and more.
  • Connect branch circuits, feeders, and controls, including terminations, panels, and equipment.
  • Diagnose, repair and resolve problems with circuits, systems, and equipment using testing instruments, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Ensure all work complies with codes and safety regulations.
  • Perform layout for various tasks, including overhead and in-wall rough-in.
  • Generate complete materials lists for assigned scopes of work.
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical systems.
  • Test circuit continuity for compatibility and safety.
  • Maximize efficiency and minimize waste.
  • Assist other employees as needed.
  • Inspect jobs upon completion for quality, safety, and cleanliness.
  • Maintain good working relationships with team.
  • Observe safe work practices and follow safety procedures.
  • Assist team in maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Implement safety procedures and precautions.
