Advanced Practice Provider Jobs

The Advanced Practice Provider (APRN or Physician Assistant) – Open Access provides comprehensive, patient-centered medical care across the continuum, with a primary focus on improving access, care transitions, and clinic efficiency. This role supports same-day access, post-hospital follow-up, pre-operative optimization, and overflow care for established provider panels. The Open Access APP functions similarly to a primary care provider in clinical scope but does not maintain an independent patient panel. Instead, this role serves as a flexible, high-impact resource to enhance patient access, reduce delays in care, and support continuity across ambulatory and inpatient transitions. The APP works both autonomously and in collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, treat, and manage acute and chronic health conditions. This position plays a critical role in improving patient outcomes, reducing hospital readmissions, and optimizing clinic throughput. All responsibilities are performed in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of Tampa General Hospital.
