Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency (Knowledge) in accounting software and ERP systems
• Advanced proficiency (knowledge) with Microsoft Office 365.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree, preferred.
• Combined experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance, or administrative practices of 3 or more years with education is desirable.
• Previous experience working as a staff accountant.

Responsibilities

• Compiling and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy.
• Maintaining the integrity of the general ledger through the preparation and posting of complex journal entries and reviewing transactions.
• Monitoring all financial operations to ensure strict adherence to accounting policies, internal controls, and relevant federal and state laws and regulations.
• Performing complex reconciliations of various accounts, such as bank statements, accounts payable/receivable, and intercompany transactions, and resolving any discrepancies.
• Analyzing financial data to identify trends, costs, and revenues, and explaining variances between actual and budgeted figures to management.
• Assisting in the development, implementation, and analysis of annual budgets and ongoing financial forecasts.
