About The Position

The Zone Lead (ZL) reports to the Assistant Store Manager and supports merchandising in designated zones while maintaining an active selling culture. The role ensures visual elements meet documented company standards designed to drive sales, including signs, vignettes, endcaps, tables, first looks, and flash finds that reinforce seasons, holidays, and in-store promotions. The ZL shares expertise in visual standards, merchandising techniques, fixturing, and implementation of marketing elements, and helps Team Members build knowledge of visual merchandising and standards while demonstrating ethical conduct, safety, and compliance. The ZL plans and leads transitions, reinventions, product assortment changes, and resets in conjunction with the Assistant Store Manager. The role maintains visual integrity and a neat, clean, organized environment, and supports daily and weekly task execution, freight processing, stocking, customer satisfaction, inventory control, safety, loss prevention, expense control, and the overall customer experience. The position involves vigorous lifting, carrying, moving around a warehouse-format store, and stocking. The ZL also coaches and trains Team Members, uses store scorecard data to improve performance in assigned zones, and maintains current signing and sets. Open availability is required, including nights and weekends.

Requirements

At least 18 years old.
High school diploma or equivalent.
A background check will be completed.
Clear and concise communication skills, including verbal, written, and comprehension skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and some holidays; open availability is required.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds and team lift 100 pounds, and routinely move merchandise around a warehouse-format store.
Ability to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods and to bend, climb, and reach at times.
Ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
Strong attention to detail, including standards, processes, and marketing.
Reliable and trustworthy, with ethical and honest behavior.

Responsibilities

Support visual merchandising processes, including planning and leading transitions, reinventions, product assortment changes, and resets with the Assistant Store Manager.
Maintain visual integrity and ensure assigned zones are neat, clean, organized, and current with company standards, signing, and sets.
Implement in-store marketing elements, including signs, vignettes, endcaps, tables, first looks, and flash finds.
Plan and execute daily and weekly workload and delegated tasks to support merchandising, department and store sales goals, and guest engagement.
Participate in freight processes, sort incoming freight, stock products in designated areas, and perform down stocking and endcap maintenance.
Support customer satisfaction, inventory control and shrink reduction, safety, loss prevention, expense control, and the customer experience.
Participate in regular team meetings and huddles on store priorities.
Model and coach visual merchandising standards and techniques, communicating and teaching visual priorities and the creation of visual moments.
Review store scorecard financial and business data, including sales and expenses, and act within assigned zones to improve metrics.
Complete other duties assigned based on business needs.
