•$116,000 - $166,000

About The Position

As a YouTube Social Strategist, Marketing, you will focus on YouTube and serve as the strategic operator behind the official flagship channel and its 45M+ subscriber community. Representing the YouTube Brand and Social team, you will lead day-to-day channel optimization, audience development, and data-driven programming strategy for the YouTube brand on its own platform. The role calls for a platform-focused practitioner who uses YouTube Studio to analyze retention curves, browse and suggested traffic patterns, click-through rates, and returning-viewer cohorts to support organic growth. You will own the channel’s programming rhythm and post-publish optimization, while working with internal teams and external production partners. You will shape title and thumbnail packaging, diagnose hook pacing, link Shorts to long-form videos, and build back-catalog viewership. You will also test and apply AI tools in YouTube Studio and Google Workspace to improve insights and streamline packaging and research workflows. The successful candidate has experience scaling YouTube channels in creator teams, digital-first studios, or YouTube growth consultancies, and understands how content earns discovery, watch time, and audience engagement on YouTube. Google Marketing connects technology with users and aims to show how Google products solve problems through user-focused marketing.
