About The Position

The Northern Inter-Tribal Health Authority (NITHA) is seeking two Full-Time Term Youth Summer Students for an 8-week period in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. These positions are open to current high school or post-secondary students between the ages of 15 and 30 who will be returning to their studies in September 2026. The Summer Students will report to Unit Managers, a Human Resources Advisor, or an Executive Assistant, and will perform a variety of administrative and program support duties. This role provides hands-on experience in a professional workplace, focusing on developing technical and essential employability skills. Students will support daily operations and information management for assigned programs, assist in developing and maintaining data collection and record-keeping processes, understand program goals and standards, and apply relevant policies, procedures, and legislation. They will also contribute to office efficiency and work collaboratively within a team. The position emphasizes skill development in organization, communication, and workplace systems, with mentorship opportunities for career growth and professional development.

Requirements

  • Current high school or post-secondary student, preferably with an interest in a healthcare career, and returning to studies in September 2026
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and internet use
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a team
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality when handling sensitive information

Nice To Haves

  • Entry-level or intermediate work experience or workplace skills training is an asset
  • Experience working with a First Nations organization is considered an asset
  • A valid Class 5 driver’s license is an asset
