About The Position

The Summer Youth Employment Program offers various trainee and intern positions across different departments within the Squaxin community. The program aims to provide youth with practical work experience and exposure to different business concepts, including tribal gaming, hospitality, administration, and natural resources. Some positions require additional training or specific age requirements. All positions are part of a drug-free workplace and adhere to Squaxin Tribal Preference in hiring.

Requirements

• Must be a youth participant in the Squaxin community.
• Must be willing to undergo drug and alcohol screening.
• Must adhere to the Tribe's Drug Free Workplace Policy.
• Must adhere to Squaxin Tribal Preference in hiring.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through various positions within departments.
• Participate in an orientation workshop for licensing.
• Engage in job shadowing in Hospitality, Administration, and Golf Course Operations.
• Assist with activities, food preparation, mentoring, cultural preservation, natural resources, health clinic support, and childcare.
• Perform duties as a stocker or executive receptionist.
