About The Position

The Summer Youth Employment Program will begin on Monday, June 29, 2026, and will run through Friday, August 7, 2026. Applicants for Little Creek Casino Resort will be asked to attend an additional orientation workshop to complete the licensing process. Those working with Stepping Stones or Summer Rec. will start Monday, June 22nd, due to additional training requirements. The application deadline is Friday, June 4, 2026, by 4:00 PM. Applications received after this date will be considered in the order received based on availability. All positions require a drug and alcohol screening in accordance with the Tribe’s Drug Free Workplace Policy. Squaxin Tribal Preference will be upheld in the hiring of these positions in accordance with the Hiring Ordinance. The position list is subject to change.

Requirements

Must be able to attend an additional orientation workshop to complete the licensing process (for Little Creek Casino Resort positions).
Must be able to attend additional training requirements (for Stepping Stones or Summer Rec. positions).
Must be able to undergo UA for drug and alcohol screening in accordance with the Tribe’s Drug Free Workplace Policy.
Must be 17+ encouraged (for Stepping Stones Mentors).
Must be 18+ encouraged (for Health Clinic Assistant).

Introduction to Tribal Gaming Environment
Job shadowing in Hospitality, Administration and Golf Course Operations
Rotation through various positions within the department throughout the program (for LCCR youth trainees)
Activities Assistant for Summer Rec.
Cooks Assistant for Summer Rec.
Stepping Stones Mentors
Cultural Preservation Apprentice MLRC
Natural Resources Intern
Health Clinic Assistant
Childcare Center Assistant Aid
